A review on the nature of interdisciplinarity one health research

Flash

The current pandemic highlights the necessity of interdisciplinarity, co-production of knowledge and cooperative research to combat emerging diseases effectively. The One Health concept is now well accepted, yet difficult to apply when it comes to concrete research projects. This paper aims to discuss the limitations of current approaches, bring some views on epistemological and methodological issues and how to participate and co-produce knowledge. It appears essential to think collectively about the collaboration possibilities and why disciplines are divided and to train new generations to apprehend the world complexity.
