Transmission of SARS-Cov-2 within slaughterhouses.

Muriel Vayssier-Taussat, head of the animal health department at INRAE, explains that the farm animals breed in Europe does not appear to be sensitive to the virus. The contaminations observed in slaughterhouses are suspected to be human-to-human contaminations unrelated to meat. However, if the virus were to be present in meat, it would be killed during cooking. In the interview, they consider the factors which could favor the transmission of the virus in slaughterhouses.
