You are browsing the website of the Infectious Diseases Research Federation (FéRI) of the Centre-Val de Loire county.

The FéRI is a scientific network involving about 300 researchers and teacher-researchers dedicated to the study of infectious diseases.

The FéRI’s goals are to strengthen the continuum between fundamental research, therapeutic applications and health and foster discovery of new tools to fight against infectious diseases. The FéRI is also committed to strengthen the links with the industrial world in the field of infectious diseases.

Our unique signature is to gather researchers working on infectious diseases in humans and/or farm animals. Therefore, the FéRI fosters interactions between human and animal health specialists, in full compliance with the One Health concept that advocates a research at the human-animal-environment interface.

The FéRI also relies on outstanding biocontained experimental facilities allowing studies ranging from the analysis of molecules involved in the infectious process to the physiopathology of infectious diseases in original animal models (including large animals) and in humans. Thus, the FéRI facilitates access to scientists from the academic and industrial world to first class biosafety levels 2 and 3 laboratories and animal facilities.

We welcome you again on the FéRI’s website and we hope to meeting you soon.
