Focus on the WHO Hub for pandemic and epidemic intelligence

16 March 2022

The World Health Organisation launched a new initiative in 2021 to strengthen pandemic and epidemic intelligence through better data, better analytics and better decisions in managing public health emergencies. To improve public health risks’ management a multidisciplinary collaborative approach is developed. The WHO Hub has received an initial investment of US$ 100 million from the Federal Republic of Germany to start working on developing the data access, analytic tools and communities of practice, promoting collaboration and sharing, and protecting the world from crises in the future.
