Existing veterinary coronavirus vaccines: what can they teach us?

With the increased interest for “one health” approaches and in the current race of SARS-Cov-2 vaccine candidates, it seems important to consider past successes in terms of coronavirus vaccines development. Indeed, commercial vaccines have been developed for most of the pathogen coronaviruses that we can find in companion animals and livestock. This article summarises the main vaccines successfully developed and try to learn lessons from them.
